Generic AI gives you answers. Domain-expert AI gives you decisions.

AI Chat Proxima

At MIPIM, we introduced AI Chat and our MCP server — a way to make your portfolio data available to any AI: Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or your own internal tools. Ask a question in plain language, get an answer.

It was a meaningful step. But it also revealed the next problem.

Accessible isn't the same as intelligent

When you connect a real estate portfolio to a general-purpose AI, you get responses. But responses and decisions are different things.

Ask a general-purpose AI: "Which buildings in my portfolio are closest to breaching the CRREM pathway?" It will try to answer. But it doesn't understand CRREM stranding trajectories. It doesn't know how to calculate the gap between your current energy intensity and the pathway threshold for your asset class. It doesn't know which data sources to trust or how to express the result in a way that leads to action.

You get a response. You don't get a decision.

The gap between accessible data and reliable intelligence is what we've been closing since MIPIM.

What domain-expert AI actually means

General-purpose AI is trained broadly. It knows a lot about many things — but not deeply about any specific domain. For straightforward questions, that's fine. For the questions that actually drive real estate investment decisions, it falls short.

Domain-expert AI is different. It combines your portfolio data with curated knowledge of the domain: the regulatory frameworks, the financial models, the ESG methodology. The output isn't just plausible — it's reliable. And it's reliable because the skills behind it were built and reviewed by people who have spent their careers in real estate sustainability and data.

That's the foundation we've built at BuildingMinds.

Four expert AI skills, live today

Each skill is curated by our data and sustainability experts — so the output is reliable from simple prompts.

Decarbonization Intelligence

Financial retrofit analysis with NPV, IRR, and payback periods. Subsidy-aware recommendations tailored to your asset locations and building types. Ask: "Which 10 buildings offer the best ROI for retrofit investments under €500,000 per building?" — and get a financially grounded answer, not a generic suggestion.

Sustainability Reporting

CSRD, GRESB, EU Taxonomy, and SFDR readiness at your fingertips. AI-generated compliance snapshots, audit-ready in minutes. The question that used to take an ESG team weeks — "How complete is my GRESB data per fund, and what am I missing?" — now has an instant, structured answer.

New Asset Evaluation

Due diligence before you buy. Green premium estimates, stranding risk scores, and rental uplift projections — generated automatically from the asset's data profile. Before you commit capital to an acquisition, you can know its ESG risk and opportunity in minutes.

Data Quality & Anomaly Detection

AI monitors your portfolio data continuously. Consumption spikes, missing readings, inconsistencies between sources — flagged in real time, so you act on clean, trusted numbers rather than discovering the problem six months into a reporting cycle.

Two ways to access it

In-App AI Assistant

Built directly into the BuildingMinds platform. Skills are pre-loaded. Get instant answers, generate reports, and run analyses without leaving your dashboard.

MCP Server

For teams who want to access portfolio intelligence through their AI of choice. One connection. Your preferred tool, with BuildingMinds expertise behind every answer.

What's coming next

The four skills above cover the core use cases. They're the beginning, not the ceiling.

We're currently building expert AI skills for green financing, EPC benchmarking, climate risk analysis, and portfolio optimisation. Each follows the same principle: capabilities BuildingMinds already delivers, now answerable in plain language, with domain expertise embedded in every response.

The shift that matters

When we launched our MCP server at MIPIM, the most common reaction was: "finally, I can actually use my data."

As teams started using it, a second question followed: "but how do I know the answer is right?"

That's the question domain-expert AI answers. Not just access. Not just a response. A reliable answer — built on the same expertise that powers the platform, ready in minutes, not weeks.
