Welcome to the CSRD Compliance Compass

Publication of the first Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) report is due in 2025. Are you compliance-ready?

What is the CSRD?

On January 5, 2023, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) came into effect, marking a significant step toward modernizing and strengthening rules relating to companies' reporting of social and environmental information. Under this directive, a wider spectrum of large companies and listed SMEs are now obligated to disclose their sustainability efforts.

Understanding the significance of CSRD

Approximately 50,000 listed companies are slated to adhere to the CSRD, though initial implementation may offer exemptions. By 2029, all EU-listed companies must comply with CSRD requirements. Compliance with CSRD within an efficient ESG strategy can positively impact a company's reputation, attract stakeholders, and boost stock performance and transparency. It can also lead to reduced capital costs, increased profitability, avoiding penalties, and most importantly, facilitated access to capital as investors seek sustainable, ESG-compliant investments.
